The situation is dire: after a record-breaking heatwave in the northern hemisphere this year, the UN chief warned we now face 'global boiling'. Capitalists and their governments have openly abandoned the 1.5C target for average temperature rises that is the acknowledged ceiling for a liveable planet and stable ecosystem. So is it too late? Have we missed the boat? This talk will make that climate action is still possible, and explain why a socialist society based on democratic workers' power is the only way we are going to save the planet.
