Rebuilding unions and class power in 2024

2:15pm Sun 31 Mar
melbourne

About this session

Despite the fact that real wages have fallen at the fastest rate in decades over the past 12 months, there has been little resistance in Australia in the form of working class struggle. Union coverage and industrial action are at historic lows. This situation may seem daunting, but it isn't completely new. This talk will look at the roots of this defeat, and explain how organised radicals have rebuilt the union movement from the ground up before.
