
Radical Feminism: theory, practice and limits

Radical feminism emerged in a period of radicalism and ideological forment. It popularised some important ideas about women's place in society, including that there is nothing natural about sexist stereotypes, that gender roles are arbitrary and oppressive and that sexism is systematic.
Many advocated radical change, but this has so far not been acheived and radical feminism has never become a mass movement. This discussion will look at why that is and offer a critique of this ideological current.
