Race, Class, and Capitalism
10:00am Fri 03 Aprmelbourne
Racism is rooted in capitalism’s need to divide workers and justify capitalist inequality, conquest, slavery, and imperial domination.
This session examines how racism is produced and reproduced through policing, borders, media, labour markets and ideology. We’ll challenge ideas that treat race as separate from class, showing instead how struggles against racism and class exploitation are inseparable.
From Black liberation movements to fights for refugee rights, we’ll explore how anti-racist organising strengthens the working class as a whole—and why a socialist strategy is essential for winning real, lasting liberation.
