Germany: revolutionary politics in the heart of Europe with Willi Schulz
10:00am Sun 20 AprAbout this session
German politics is fraying under the pressure of the far right and rising inequality, expressed in the downfall of the traffic light coalition government. Despite this, the German left is struggling to respond to the new situation. The traditional party of the socialist left, Die Linke, seems trapped in an intense crisis, bleeding votes to Sahra Wagenknecht's socially conservative split party. Meanwhile, the revolutionary left is still marginal. This session, introduced by a revolutionary from Germany, will explore how Marxists are trying to rebuild revolutionary politics in the heart of Europe.
This session is a part of the "Rebuilding the Revolutionary Left" stream at Marxism 2025, a series of sessions that highlights socialist activists involved in building Marxist organisations across the globe.
