4:15pm Sun 20 Aprmelbourne
About this session
In Paris in May 1968, massive confrontations between police and students brought workers out on a general strike and took the government to the point of collapse. After decades of stability, world capitalism faced the prospect of revolution at the centre of Europe. This talk will explore the radical 1968 student movement's origins and what it will take to topple the system next time.
