The Argentine revolutionary left and the struggle against Milei with Federico Moreno
11:45am Sat 04 AprArgentina has a strong Trotskyist left. The Workers' Left Front – Unity (Spanish: Frente de Izquierda y de Trabajadores – Unidad, FIT-U), an electoral alliance of four revolutionary Trotskyist parties in Argentina gets hundreds of thousands of votes. There are regularly mass protests and despite the Peronist trade union bureaucracy there is still a significant workers movement.
However, far right president Javier Milei is waging war against the Argentine left, and has scored important victories. This has opened up vital debates on the Argentine left, in the social movements and the unions about how they can defeat Milei. This session will be introduced by Federico Moreno from the Movimiento Socialista de los Trabajadores (MST), one of the Trotskyist parties in the FIT-U.
