Since being formed in 2018, the Victorian Socialists have recorded some of the best results for socialists in many years. But this is not the first time in Australian history socialists have had an impact at the ballot box.

This discussion will look at the history of socialist and radical electoral campaigns, and ask how they fitted in to building working class resistance and socialist organisations, and what lessons we can draw for today.
