There is a common misconception that Marxism is economically and class reductionist, with nothing to offer in dealing with social oppression. This talk will argue that, in fact, Marxism offers a full theoretical basis for understanding the relationship between the economic basis of society and the politics of sexism, racism, homophobia, transphobia and other forms of oppression with urgent implications for how we fight for a more liberated society.
