The far right and parliamentary democracy in Europe today
10:00am Thu 28 Marmelbourne
About this session
After decades of recurring economic crisis, state-sponsored racism and the failure of the political centre, far right parties have swept into government in Sweden, Finland and Italy. Many of these parties have roots in the explicitly anti-democratic fascist tradition, but claim to have changed their stripes and embraced constitutional methods. But how deep does this commitment really run? Come along to this session to discuss the relationship between the far right and parliament today.
