About this session
The last few years has seen an explosion of support on the Left for ideas of mutual aid, which is, simply put the idea that communities should provide practical support for each other when the state fails. Such acts, particularly when they draw on anarchist theory, present themselves as a fundamental challenge to the system. This talk will ask the question 'how radical actually is mutual aid?'
