Understanding the US-China conflict
12:00pm Fri 15 Apr
melbourne
About this session
The largest capitalist powers in the world - the US and China - are increasingly at odds. Veiled threats over Taiwan, boycotts of the Olympics, and military buildup make the possibility of military conflict between these superpowers increasingly possible. How should the left respond to these increasing tensions? This session will put forward a Marxist analysis of the competition between these countries and argue for an internationalist, anti-war stance.
