About this session
The succesful popular revolt against British rule in Egypt inspired many subsequent anti colonial movements. While working class people played a significant role in the movement the post colonial regime didn't represent the aspirations of workers. This talk will explore the politics of the Communist Party of Egypt, their attitude to Nasser and what this meant for Egyptian workers.
