About this session
The COVID crisis has killed millions around the world. Untold numbers of these never got life-saving hospital care because there wasn't enough space - or they couldn't afford to pay for private care. Many more could have avoided infection if provided with timely vaccines. Meanwhile, Pfizer's projected 2021 income from its vaccine was $26 billion, and Australia's richest 250 people increased their wealth by $93 billion over 2020. This session will talk about how the profit-first logic of capitalism means the basic right to life and health is denied to the oppressed around the world.
